Performance Fabric Technology

Every Guide Series shirt features our proprietary moisture-wicking fabric that actively pulls perspiration away from your skin to the outer surface where it evaporates quickly. This engineered polyester construction maintains a dry microclimate against your body even during strenuous activity in humid conditions.
The fabric’s tight weave provides UPF sun protection ratings between 30 and 50+, depending on the model. We treated each shirt with an antimicrobial finish that inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, keeping the garment fresher between washes. The same durable construction used in our Guide Series pants ensures these shirts withstand season after season of hard use in demanding environments.
Sizing and Fit Guide

Our Guide Series shirts are designed with an athletic fit that follows your body’s natural lines without restricting movement. This cut accommodates a base layer underneath while eliminating the bulk of traditional outdoor shirts.
Size Chart
Measure your chest at the fullest point while wearing the base layer you’ll use most often. Small fits 34-36 inch chest, Medium fits 38-40 inch, Large fits 42-44 inch, X-Large fits 46-48 inch, and XX-Large fits 50-52 inch chest measurements. The shirts run true to size based on standard U.S. men’s sizing. If you prefer a looser fit for layering heavy insulation underneath, we recommend ordering one size up from your typical shirt size. All models feature articulated construction that allows full range of motion through shoulders and arms during casting, climbing, or shooting positions.
Care and Maintenance

Machine wash your Guide Series shirts in cold water with similar colors to preserve the technical fabric treatments and prevent fading. We recommend using liquid detergent rather than powder, as powder detergents can leave residue that reduces moisture-wicking performance.
Avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets, which coat fibers and block the fabric’s ability to transport moisture effectively. Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry in shade to extend garment life. The antimicrobial treatment remains effective for 50+ wash cycles when you follow these care instructions. If the shirt develops stubborn stains from fish blood, mud, or tree sap, treat spots with mild soap before washing. Do not iron the fabric, as high heat can damage the synthetic fibers and reduce UV protection properties.

Guide Series Shirt Questions
The long sleeve model includes roll-up sleeve tabs with button closures and articulated sleeve construction for casting motion, making it ideal for anglers who need arm coverage with flexibility. The short sleeve version features mesh side panels for maximum ventilation in hot weather, with a focus on cooling performance.
Both models offer UPF 30+ sun protection, moisture-wicking fabric, and antimicrobial treatment. Choose long sleeves for cooler conditions or when you need more sun coverage on your arms. The short sleeve works best in peak summer heat or for activities where maximum airflow is your priority.
Our Guide Series shirts provide UPF 30+ to 50+ protection, meaning they block 97-98% of UV radiation. A standard cotton t-shirt typically offers only UPF 5-7, blocking less than 80% of harmful rays.
The tight fabric weave and polyester construction create a physical barrier against UV penetration. This protection doesn't wash out or degrade like sunscreen, remaining effective for the life of the garment. You'll get consistent sun protection even when the fabric is wet, unlike cotton which loses much of its protective value when damp.
Absolutely. While we designed these shirts with anglers in mind, customers use them for hiking, kayaking, gardening, travel, and any outdoor activity requiring sun protection and moisture management. The technical fabric performs equally well whether you're on a trout stream or a mountain trail.
The chest pockets work for trail snacks, the quick-dry fabric handles canoe splashes, and the odor resistance makes these shirts ideal for multi-day camping trips. Many customers tell us these have become their everyday warm-weather shirts because of the comfort and durability.
